But what do people use all of those Neodymium countersunk hole magnets for? Well you have to understand that the magnets of today are not the same magnets most of us played with as youngsters. The magnets are much more powerful that they were. So it takes much less magnetic material to do something than it did before. These magnets are used in the electronics that we have become so found of. It is true that the invention of the integrated circuit made a big difference in trimming down the size but the neodymium magnet has made every bit a difference as Mr. Jack Kilby did.
