Product Description
Disc Magnet 1/2"x1/4" Plastic Coated Neodymium Rare Earth N52 -
ND038-52P
Our new plastic-coated magnets are a new addition to our wide selection of magnets as the first waterproof and weatherproof neodymium magnet option that can survive in some of the most extreme environments! This magnet can be used in places that regular neodymium magnets wouldn’t survive, such as outdoors or in salt water. The plastic coating also gives this magnet the added benefit of greatly increasing the durability of the magnet by absorbing the shock that would otherwise break any normal neodymium magnet. Note that because the plastic coating adds some distance and will result in a slightly weaker pull force.
This product measures 1/2" in diameter and 1/4" in thickness and is made of a grade N52 neodymium, iron, and boron magnetic alloy blend. This magnetic blend is patent licensed and made under the ISO 9001 quality systems. They are coated in a thick single layer plastic coating. The pull force of this magnet is 12 lb. This is a great item for use in personal projects as well as for crafts and closures and can also be used to help keep objects secured or fastened to any ferrous surface.
- Material: Sintered NdFeB. Grade N52
- Gauss Rating: 14,400 Gauss
- Holding Power: 12 lbs
- Pole Orientation: Axially magnetized, the poles on the flat sides.
- Coating: Black Plastic Coated
- Tolerance: The tolerances of all the dimensions are +/-0.002in with coating.
PLEASE NOTE:
- All magnets may chip and shatter, but if used correctly can last a lifetime.
- Keep away from pacemakers.
- Not for children, parental supervision required.
- COMMERCIAL USE ONLY.
- If damaged please dispose of completely. Shards are still magnetized and if swallowed can inflict serious damage if magnets join inside the digestive tract.

Warranty
This magnet includes a 10-year warranty for its magnetic strength, provided it is used under normal conditions. Usage in environments with elevated temperatures, significant vibration, or intense opposing magnetic fields will render this warranty null and void. It is also not suitable for use outdoors or in areas with high humidity or salt content, unless additional protective insulation measures are implemented.Product Videos

Non-Breaking Neodymium Disc Magnet ND038-52P
These plastic magnets are perfect to place in the clothes dryer to continuously discharge the static that builds up on clothes tumbling in the dryer (in the dry winter months). Found this solution in a 1975 patent: US3991479A Clothes dryer with anti-static magnet. It truly works; I've measured it with a static EF meter (GQ EMF 390). Just place 5 magnets at the base of each of the 3 tumble paddles. 15 magnets is all you need. No more static.

Magnets
They feel very strong and perfect .... For what I need in building a diy acrylic coral frag shelf for my saltwater fish/mixed reef tank ...will put pics when done project thanks

Great Product
Strong and durable; perfect for in the home or the shop. Notes from CMS Magnetics: Since these magnets are lethal if swallowed, CMS does not recommend this magnets to be used at home unless they are kept away from children or animals

NON-BREAKING NEODYMIUM DISC MAGNET N52 1/2 X 1/4" PLASTIC COATED RARE EARTH MAGNET
Excellent. Submerged in water for a week and no rust at all.

Non-breaking magnets
Accidentally let two magnets fly together from a short distance. No chips or cracks! And while the contact force between two plastic coated magnets might be a little less than nickel or epoxy coated ones, the difference is pretty small. These will be great for my physics students to use in labs.

As Expected, Again
This is the second time I have ordered from CMS Magnetics, and the second time they delivered as expected. The Plastic Coated discs are currently out in the rain holding up something I attached to my house and they are doing well. I will report back if there is any issue with the coating/waterproofing.
