What are permanent magnets?

Permanent magnets are special types of magnets that, once magnetized, retain their magnetic properties over a long time without the need for an external power source. They are different from temporary magnets, which only exhibit magnetism when in the presence of a magnetic field or power (like electromagnets) . Permanent magnets can generate their own magnetic fields and are commonly used in everyday items like refrigerator magnets and speakers. These magnets are crafted from materials like neodymium (for Neodymium Magnets), ferrite (for Ceramic Magnets ), nickel (for AlNiCo Magnets ) and samarium cobalt (as SmCo Magnets), each with varying levels of magnetic strength. Unlike temporary magnets, permanent magnets can attract ferrous objects and maintain their magnetism independently, making them a valuable and versatile tool in numerous applications.
