Product Description
The 1.5" × 0.25" N45 Neodymium Disc Magnet provides a substantial 35 lb direct breakaway pull force, delivering 25% more clamping capacity than standard N35 without the cost or thermal sensitivity of N52. Sintered from high-grade NdFeB alloy, this disc is engineered for heavy machine tooling, woodworking jigs, suspended metal holding, and rugged industrial fabrications.

Primary Engineering & Commercial Applications
- CNC Machinery & Milling Toolholders: Secure clamping of chip deflectors, coolant hose positioning bases, and temporary machine tool staging blocks.
- Woodworking & Custom Cabinetmaker Blocks: Concealed mortise-pocket embedding for heavy magnetic knife strips, secret compartment latches, and sliding partition locks.
- Industrial Conveyors & Chutes: Secondary ferrous debris capture and temporary alignment stops along sheet metal sorting lines.
- Robotic Gripper End-Effectors: High holding power per unit mass for automated pick-and-place systems manipulating sheet metal parts.
Safety & Handling Warnings
- Severe Pinch Hazard: A 35 lb magnetic force snaps across several inches of air space instantly. Fingers caught between magnets or against steel will suffer blood blisters or crushing lacerations. Wear gloves during separation.
- Fracture & Flying Shards: Hard sintered NdFeB shatters when subjected to high-velocity impacts. Eye protection meeting ANSI Z87.1 standards must be worn when working with unstacked discs.
- Pacemaker & Electronic Device Safety: Maintain a strict distance of at least 12 inches (30 cm) from pacemakers, heart defibrillators, credit cards, computer hard drives, and sensitive magnetic sensors.
- Not a Toy: Keep strictly out of reach of children and pets. Ingestion requires emergency surgical intervention.
- Do Not Heat or Grind: Never expose to open flames or grind with abrasive wheels. Temperatures over 80°C (176°F) permanently degrade magnetic field strength, and dry dust is combustible.
Mechanical Mounting Notes
- Shear Sliding Resistance: Under vertical wall-mount loads, expect sliding to begin at roughly 15% to 20% of rated pull (≈ 5 to 7 lbs) unless pocketed into a recess or mechanically supported.
- Non-Magnetic Substrates: Fasten against non-ferrous surfaces using pre-drilled Steel Magnet Strikers.
Warranty
This magnet includes a 10-year warranty for its magnetic strength, provided it is used under normal conditions. Usage in environments with elevated temperatures, significant vibration, or intense opposing magnetic fields will render this warranty null and void. It is also not suitable for use outdoors or in areas with high humidity or salt content, unless additional protective insulation measures are implemented.Product Videos

1-1/2" x 1/4" N45 Neodymium Rare Earth Disc Magnet
Received these today. Outstanding. Incredibly Strong Magnets. If you get these "BE CAREFUL" follow the safety procedures or OUCH! ...You could be injured and bleed some of your blood out on the desk or what ever is near where you are handling them. (Yes experience from years past!)

Powerful magnets, excellent quality
I bought eight of these to embed in wood for a magnetic knife block. Each magnet is about 1/4" from the wood surface, and knives hold amazingly well. Word of warning: Watch your fingers (they can pinch) and try very hard not to get two of these stuck together! My only wish was that the polarity was engraved or etched onto the surface; the marker outline provided quickly rubs off and then you lose track.
