Product Description
The 1.5" × 0.25" N35 Neodymium Disc Magnet delivers a verified 28 lb perpendicular breakaway pull force in an economical rare earth format. Engineered specifically for high-volume production runs and general OEM fabrication, Grade N35 provides dependable clamping and holding power where commercial budgets require maximum value per unit without paying the premium of high-energy grades.

Primary Engineering & Commercial Applications
- Commercial Cabinetry & Architectural Latches: Embedded into solid wood stiles, pocket doors, or hidden access panels where a 28 lb tactile release is ideal for hand operation without binding.
- Point-of-Purchase (POP) & Trade Show Displays: Rapid assembly and disassembly of interchangeable graphic panels, shelving headers, and modular retail signage.
- Workshop Jigs & Shop Fixtures: Embedded into table saw featherboards, drill press fences, and assembly fixtures for non-permanent metal positioning.
- High-Volume OEM Sub-Assemblies: Cost-effective magnetic coupling for packaging machinery, novelty enclosures, and industrial covers requiring bulk rare-earth procurement.
Safety & Handling Warnings
- Pinch & Bruise Hazard: With 28 lbs of attractive pull force, two magnets brought into proximity will accelerate unexpectedly. Always slide magnets sideways off the stack rather than pulling perpendicularly.
- Sintered Brittleness: Sintered NdFeB is ceramic-like and lacks tensile impact resistance. Uncontrolled impact against steel or other magnets can cause rapid chipping, cracking, or projectile shards. Eye protection is recommended.
- Pacemaker Interference: Strong static magnetic flux fields disrupt cardiac pacemakers, ICDs, and sensitive biomedical implants. Maintain a minimum safe distance of 12 inches (30 cm).
- Child Ingestion Hazard: Keep strictly away from children. Swallowed rare-earth magnets can attract internally across intestinal walls, creating life-threatening medical emergencies.
- No Thermal Cutting or Machining: Do not drill, grind, or machine sintered neodymium. Friction heat permanently destroys magnetization, and dry NdFeB grinding dust is pyrophoric (spontaneously flammable).
Mechanical Mounting Notes
- Mechanical Screw Mounting: For applications requiring screw fastening rather than adhesive pocketing, explore our steel-cased Countersunk Cup Magnets.
- Non-Ferrous Mating: When mounting this disc against wood, drywall, or aluminum, pair it with a pre-drilled zinc-plated Steel Magnet Striker.
Warranty
This magnet includes a 10-year warranty for its magnetic strength, provided it is used under normal conditions. Usage in environments with elevated temperatures, significant vibration, or intense opposing magnetic fields will render this warranty null and void. It is also not suitable for use outdoors or in areas with high humidity or salt content, unless additional protective insulation measures are implemented.Product Videos
