As an extremely strong magnet, this 1.5" x 1.5" disc is crafted from premium Grade N52 Neodymium-Iron-Boron, the highest magnetic energy grade commercially available. With a rated 238 lb pull force, it provides a concentrated magnetic field far superior to standard N42 or ceramic alternatives.

    Q: Exactly how strong is an N52 neodymium magnet? A: N52 is the highest commercial grade of neodymium magnet available. An N52 magnet provides approximately 20% more magnetic energy than a standard N42 magnet of the same size. For this 1.5" x 1.5" disc, the result is a massive 238 lb pull force when in direct contact with a flat, thick steel plate.

    Q: What does the "pull force" of 238 lbs actually mean? A: Pull force is the amount of pressure required to pull the magnet vertically away from a 1-inch thick, flat steel plate. Please note that "lifting" capacity (shear force) is usually significantly lower—often 20% to 30% of the pull force—depending on the friction and surface thickness of the metal.

    Q: Can I use this N52 magnet in high-temperature environments? A: This N52 neodymium disc has a maximum operating temperature of 176°F (80°C). If exposed to temperatures above this threshold for an extended period, the magnet may begin to lose its magnetic strength permanently. For higher temperature applications, please contact us for specialized high-temp grades.

    Q: How do I safely separate two extremely strong magnets? A: Never try to pull these magnets apart by hand, as the force is too great. The safest method is the "Slide Method": place the magnets on the edge of a non-magnetic table and slide the top magnet off the side. We highly recommend using a plastic or wooden wedge to maintain a gap between them.

    Q: Does the Ni-Cu-Ni coating prevent rust? A: Yes. The triple-layer Nickel-Copper-Nickel coating provides a high level of corrosion resistance, making these magnets suitable for indoor and many industrial environments. However, for long-term underwater or extreme outdoor use, we recommend additional sealing to protect the neodymium core from oxidation.

    Q: Are these magnets safe for children? A: No. These are industrial-strength tools and are not toys. They pose a severe pinching hazard and can be fatal if swallowed. They should only be handled by adults who have read the safety instructions.

    Warranty

    This magnet includes a 10-year warranty for its magnetic strength, provided it is used under normal conditions. Usage in environments with elevated temperatures, significant vibration, or intense opposing magnetic fields will render this warranty null and void. It is also not suitable for use outdoors or in areas with high humidity or salt content, unless additional protective insulation measures are implemented.
