Product Description
N45 Neodymium Cylinder Magnet (1/4" Dia. x 1" Length) - Commercial Grade
Designed for cost-conscious commercial manufacturing and high-volume production runs, this 1/4" diameter by 1" length N45 neodymium cylinder magnet offers a balanced combination of dependable holding strength and high economic value. Sintered from quality NdFeB alloy, it provides 13,500 Gauss remanence and up to 12 lbs of direct surface pull force, making it a reliable choice for general latching mechanisms, cabinetry fixtures, craft prototyping, and industrial assemblies.
Need higher magnetic flux density or maximum surface pull force for specialized assemblies? Explore our N50 1/4" x 1" Cylinder Magnet (14 lb Pull) or our flagship N52 1/4" x 1" Cylinder Magnet (15.2 lb Pull).

Commercial Applications & Production Benefits
With its $H \ge D$ rod ratio, this 1/4" x 1" cylinder magnet projects an extended magnetic field across open air gaps. The N45 grade is engineered specifically for commercial applications where consistent magnetic performance is required at an optimized unit cost for bulk integration:
- Cabinetry latches, magnetic door stops, and hidden furniture fasteners
- Light-to-medium duty mechanical jigs, magnetic fixtures, and hold-down clamps
- Educational physics demonstrations and DIY maker projects
- Bulk commercial product manufacturing and OEM component sourcing
Important Safety & Handling Precautions
- Pinch Hazard & Impact Precautions: Even standard-grade rare-earth magnets exert strong attractive forces relative to their weight. Handle individual units carefully to prevent skin pinching or impact cracking against steel surfaces.
- Brittle Material Properties: Bare NdFeB magnets can chip or shatter if allowed to snap violently together. Position smoothly during manual assembly.
- Sensors & Interference: Keep at a safe distance from pacemakers, ICDs, credit cards, magnetic storage media, and sensitive electronic displays.
- Maximum Operating Temperature: Safe for continuous operation up to 176°F (80°C). Exceeding maximum temperature limits causes permanent demagnetization.

Warranty
This magnet includes a 10-year warranty for its magnetic strength, provided it is used under normal conditions. Usage in environments with elevated temperatures, significant vibration, or intense opposing magnetic fields will render this warranty null and void. It is also not suitable for use outdoors or in areas with high humidity or salt content, unless additional protective insulation measures are implemented.Product Videos
