Product Description
Samarium Cobalt Magnets Dia 1X3/8" Disc Magnets SmCo High Temperature Magnets
This disc magnet is made of Samarium Cobalt rare earth magnet alloy under ISO 9001 quality systems. The material is Sm2Co17 and the grade is 26. This magnet is axially magnetized so the N and S poles are on the flat surfaces.
SmCo magnets are very strong magnets and very similar to neodymium magnets but have a higher working temperature. They are majorly used in the industries when the high temperature is present. For the home projects, SmCo magnets are only used as holding magnets for stove or fire places. As long as the durability SmCo magnets is more fragile than neodymium magnets.
The followings are the magnetic characteristics of this SmCo magnet,
- Br: 10.4 kGs
- Hcb: 9.8 kOe
- Hcj: 10.6 kOe
- (BH)max: 26 MGOe
- Maximum Normal Operating Temperature: 320 Celsius or 608 Fahrenheit
- Holding Force: Approximately 20 lbs.
- Pole Orientations: Axially magnetized, i.e. the N and S poles are on the flat surfaces.
- Applications: Holding, motors, generators etc. For crafting magnets, please choose neodymium magnets instead.
CMS Magnetics provides the best quality SmCo magnets for USA industries for years. All of our products are made via state of the art technology. All the magnets are made of highly purified raw material under ISO 9002 quality systems.
Should you need different grade or size of SmCo magnets, we can customize per your requirements.
Warranty
This magnet includes a 10-year warranty for its magnetic strength, provided it is used under normal conditions. Usage in environments with elevated temperatures, significant vibration, or intense opposing magnetic fields will render this warranty null and void. It is also not suitable for use outdoors or in areas with high humidity or salt content, unless additional protective insulation measures are implemented.Product Videos

EXCELLENT MAGNETS!!
SmCo #26 Disc Magnets (3/8" thick x 1" diameter). With a much higher service temperature compared to NdFeB magnets, the SmCO magnet is an excellent choice for higher temperature applications [less than their curie point]. One application is a prototype thermomagnetic motor (or engine) for demonstrating the thermomagnetic effect. The SmCo magnet alloy magnetic flux (B) varies less per degree celsuis compared to NdFeB alloys. So, it is good for those applications requiring a relatively stable magnetic field under varying temperature conditions. Excellent magnets and a great value too.

SMCO MAGNETS DIA 1X3/8" SAMARIUM COBALT MAGNETS 608 F TEMPERATURE
Powerful. Working perfectly to hold my oven door closed without replacing the faulty spring hinge. That said, I encourage all to read carefully the included warnings and follow the instructions for handling. The magnets, as noted, are brittle. I did not follow the instructions, and the magnets chipped as I initially separated them.
