    This product is just as it says it is. I bought it for my 12 year old son's school project where he had to teaching the class how to make something. He taught the class how to make magnetic slime which is simply adding the iron powder to a regular slime recipe. I purchased 2 containers which was exactly enough iron powder to provide 1 tbs. for each of the 28 students in his class and 2 tbs. for the two samples we made. So a little goes a long way.

    This is a really cool dust, I got it as a gift to a 6 year old and its was so cool and unexpected even for adults, the whole family was excited to play around. BUT before you make a purchase you'll need two other things for this toy which unfortunately is sold separately, I wish it was sold as a set or offered as one, to spare you time in search for other stuff.

    Not sure what to say about iron filings. They were clean (nothing but filings) and my kids played with them for hours great stuf.
