These are industrial grade iron filings which are clean and dry. These iron filings are packed in 12 OZ bottles and to be used in experiments with magnets. The iron filings are in a bottle with a sprinkler plastic bottles. It helps in teaching kids about magnetism in Physics! Show them the unseen magnetic fields with this iron shaving!

Iron Filings
This product is just as it says it is. I bought it for my 12 year old son's school project where he had to teaching the class how to make something. He taught the class how to make magnetic slime which is simply adding the iron powder to a regular slime recipe. I purchased 2 containers which was exactly enough iron powder to provide 1 tbs. for each of the 28 students in his class and 2 tbs. for the two samples we made. So a little goes a long way.

This is a really cool dust, I got it as a gift to a 6 year old and its was so cool and unexpected even for adults, the whole family was excited to play around. BUT before you make a purchase you'll need two other things for this toy which unfortunately is sold separately, I wish it was sold as a set or offered as one, to spare you time in search for other stuff.
