Reliable and Smart Speed Regulation: The speed regulation is always the number one design concern of the wind turbine systems, since wind speeds vary from 0 mph up to 110 mph. It's difficult for a designer to find the balance between the safety of operation and fair output. Since most systems sacrifice output in favor of safety, many end up with rated wind speeds of 26-29mph and with kick-in speeds up to 20mph. But in most areas, the average wind speed is below 18mph, so these generators will not produce enough energy for you even though they spin very hard. Our TALON5 adopts the Variable Pitch Technology (TM) design from larger turbines. This design provides a solution in a smart way -- it can operate both in low wind and high wind conditions and produce energy from 8.95 mph to 55.92 mph consistently.

High Energy Output: Besides the design, the energy output of the generator also depends on how much copper wire is used in the stator and how many magnets are used in the rotor. The more copper wire and magnets used, the more powerful the generator is. Because of this, a small and light system normally will produce less power than a heavier system.
